6/22/2015 – Parag Batavia wins Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Regional Award

Neya Systems is pleased to announce that Dr. Parag Batavia, president of Neya, is an awardee of the prestigious Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Western PA region. This award is given to top regional entrepreneurs who have demonstrated their ability to build solid companies, deliver innovative solutions to difficult customer problems, and contribute positively to the overall community.

“I am extremely honored to win this award.” said Parag, “I want to thank Ernst and Young and the judges panel for all the time they spent with me and Neya, and I want to congratulate the other awardees. I am grateful to all our employees for the hard work they have put in to make Neya such a successful businesses.”

Other regional winners this year include Charlie Batch, for his Best of the Batch foundation, Kinesh Doshi of Accion Labs, and Dr. Georgio Coraluppi of Compunetix who was named Master Entrepreneur. The full list of winners and finalists is available here.

Regional winners are entered into the national competition, which will take place as a part of the Ernst and Young Strategic Growth Forum in November, 2015. Parag will be among those representing Pittsburgh at this event.

Parag Batavia is the founder and president of Neya Systems, LLC. He started Neya in 2009, in order to further robotics R&D efforts, and transition them to commercial and DoD product areas. Parag has a Ph.D. in Robotics from CMU, and an MBA from Drexel. He is married, with two beautiful little girls, and is slowly trying to get back in shape now that he's hit the big 40.
